The use of autologous bone marrow derived stem cell treatments is a procedure receiving wider acceptance for various clinical needs among the scientific and medical profession. Our single use sterile products enable the processing of harvested bone marrow in closed sterile path formats as required under cGMP/cGTP guidelines. Additionally, we have a wide range of technologies for cell expansion including research and cGMP grade growth factors and media.
Once a bone marrow harvest is completed in the surgical theatre, several advanced processing steps need to take place whether the plan is to yield minimally manipulated or manipulated stem cells.
The harvested sample must be volume reduced by removing erythrocytes, plasma and fat with minimal loss of the stem cells (progenitor cells)
The volume reduced unit must be transferred to transplant bag(s) in the case of BMT, or into delivery devices for organ specific stem cell transplant. If the unit is to be cryo-preserved it is prepared for cryopreservation in cryo-compatible bags.
We offer disposable systems and reagents for almost every step in the processing of bone marrow.
